Role & responsibilities

A CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines, ensuring the machines are properly set up, and monitoring their operation to produce high-quality products. The operator must read and interpret blueprints, set up the machines, perform routine maintenance, and ensure that the products meet precise specifications.

• Prepare and set up CNC machines for the production process.
• Load and unload materials into the CNC machines.
• Input control instructions into machine control panels.
• Adjust machine settings, including tooling and fixtures, to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to understand product specifications and tooling instructions.
• Monitor machine operations and perform regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges to inspect finished products.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning and lubricating machine components.
• Report any malfunctions or required repairs to the maintenance team.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain accurate production records and logs.
• Complete all required documentation for quality control and compliance purposes.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• May require shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
• Ensure to produce the components as per the drawing and not to deviate from the required dimensions
• Ensure proper handling of the machined components with protection to avoid any damage
• Ensure good housekeeping and keep the accessories and tools in proper manner
