Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Stock Supervisor to oversee the inventory and stock management processes at our factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock records, supervising the stock movement, and ensuring inventory control. This role demands a hands-on approach, with a keen eye for detail and a good understanding of inventory management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of stock management within the factory, including receiving, storing, and distributing materials.
Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory system and conduct regular stock audits.
Ensure timely ordering and restocking of raw materials and supplies.
Supervise and manage stock movements, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company procedures.
Monitor stock levels and update the inventory management system in real-time.
Coordinate with other departments such as production, procurement, and quality control to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in developing and implementing effective inventory control procedures.
Handle stock discrepancies, investigate and resolve issues related to damaged or lost stock.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock levels, usage, and variances for management review.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of stock areas, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Train and supervise junior stock team members.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of relevant experience in stock or inventory management in a factory or manufacturing environment.
Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Word.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of stock management software (optional but preferred).
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; further qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields would be an advantage.
