Working with the U.S. Complex Financial Instruments (CFI) teams (on both audit and external valuation projects) engaged in the valuation of financial instruments, such as equity derivatives (options and warrants), debt and embedded derivatives (conversion options, redemption options), earnouts and contingent considerations, and other complex financial instrument utilizing statistical and financial concepts such as Black-Scholes, Monte Carlo simulation, stochastic processes, and binomial lattices for regulatory, financial and tax purposes

Read through legal agreements to understand the economics of each financial instrument in order to select appropriate valuation method/model

Utilize advanced statistical and financial concepts inbuilding models, including Black-Scholes, Monte Carlo simulation, and binomial lattices (equity and interest rate models)

Mentor CFI team at GT INDUS and involve junior team members for initial project execution

Maintain and develop positive, productive, and professional relationships with GT offices across the U.S.

Identify issues and propose strategies related to the process improvement

Demonstrate teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members

Use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of services provided

Identify business development opportunities and assist PPMDs and directors / senior managers on proposals and new business opportunities

Stay abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to our as well as the clients business

Assisting internal clients on client development and practice development assignments

Experience in broad-based business and financial valuations and multi-discipline appraisals, including those of closely held companies

Technical expertise in equity interests and CFI valuation products such as ASC 718, IRC 409A, ASC 820, IBR / ASC 842, debt and warrants valuation

Excellent thoughtfulness, project management, communication, interpersonal and teaming skills

Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment

Advanced knowledge and experience in any of the following sectors will be added advantage - financial services, oil & gas, technology, consumer products, power and utilities and life science

Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written (including technical writing), and presentation skills.

Willingness and ability to travel, when required

Exposure to databases such as Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Refinitiv etc.

Professional Experience / Qualifications

A post graduate degree in finance, economics, or any other quantitative discipline with 6-8 years of related work experience

A minimum of 5 years direct experience in utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies such as Option Pricing Method (OPM), Probability-Weighted Expected Return Method (PWERM), Current Value Method (CVM), Monte Carlo Simulations (MCS), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Market Comparables, etc. in a business valuation firm or practice or in venture capital, investment banking, commercial banking, financial research, national valuation firm or experience working in a corporate finance role for an organization, preferably for M&A activities

Certification/license such as CPA or CFA, and valuation credentials such as CVA, ABV, AVA or ASA preferred

Accounting, finance, and economics knowledge; proficiency in US GAAP preferred
