Job Description
- Assist in month end close procedures : Perform expense accruals for global Altus entities.to ensure accurate reporting of expenses
- Complete daily bank reconciliations : Continuously complete global bank reconciliations, coordinating with onshore accounting teams to conclude on unreconciled items
- Completing various balance sheet account reconciliations : Complete various balance sheet reconciliations, agreeing schedules to GL balance
- Manage prepaid expense balances : Set up an maintain prepaid expense balances for global Altus entities including the initial set up of amortization schedule based on invoice details
- Perform financial statement and account analysis to help ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist with various analyses to help explain variances to budget and to help accurately forecast future trends of expenses.
- Review and coding of invoices to help facilitate the accurate reporting of expenses.
- Respond to ad hoc inquiries and analytical requests.
- Assist in the ongoing improvement and automation of our processes.
- Assist with requests from auditors during the quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Ensure expenses are in compliance with company policies and procedures
Key Qualifications:
- Business or accounting degree
- Chartered Accounting / ACCA qualification is an asset
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience with Workday Financial is an asset
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Possess strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
