Profile:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Insights Manager to lead performance reporting and analysis for our entire company sales and margin. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of SQL, Python, and data visualization tools, alongside a knack for storytelling and effective communication. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within our data and translating them into actionable insights for senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Utilize SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including transactional data, customer databases, and marketing campaigns.
2. Lead performance reporting and analysis initiatives, providing insights into company-wide sales and margin performance across different brands and sectors.
3. Develop reports using tools such as Databricks, Excel, and PowerPoint to visualize key performance metrics and trends.
4. Conduct in-depth analysis of customer trends, product analytics, segmentation, persona, and basket analysis to uncover actionable insights.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
6. Drive continuous improvement in data quality, accuracy, and reporting processes to enhance decision-making capabilities.
7. Present findings and insights to senior leadership, in a clear, concise, and compelling manner, focusing on the narrative behind the data.
8. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree from a Tier 1 college in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data analysis, preferably within the retail industry or a related field.
3. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis. Experience with data visualization tools such as Databricks, Tableau, or Power BI is highly desirable.
4. Proven track record of driving insights and recommendations from complex datasets to influence business strategy and decision-making.
5. Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and present them to senior leadership.
6. Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
8. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
