Job Description
As a Childrens Church Curriculum Writer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the spiritual and educational journey of our young congregation. Youll be responsible for creating engaging, age-appropriate, and impactful content that aligns with our values and teachings.
The responsibilities of the Children s Church Curriculum Writer include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and write high-quality lesson plans, activities, and resources for various age groups within the Childrens Church.
Collaborate with our team to ensure that the curriculum content is aligned with our churchs vision and values.
Revise and update existing curriculum materials to maintain relevance and effectiveness.
Research and incorporate innovative teaching methods and educational trends into the curriculum.
Maintain consistent communication with the team to ensure smooth coordination and curriculum coherence.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required to stay informed about the curriculums progress.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A good testimony among your current local church community with a demonstrable
strong personal walk with God. Strong passion for child education and spiritual growth. Previous experience in curriculum development, teaching, or educational content
creation is a plus. A strong, demonstrable emphasis on personal study of God s Word and a strong personal
walk with the Holy Spirit. A strong, demonstrable ability to write God s Word with clarity, and simplicity, to
Children. A bachelor s degree is required. A theological degree is preferred. Excellent writing skills with a creative and engaging approach to content creation. Familiarity with biblical teachings and a solid understanding of Christian doctrines. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a team
environment. Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. Alignment to APC s Statement of Faith (see apcwo.org website)
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Proficiency in child education methods and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Ability to craft engaging and imaginative curriculum materials. Effective teamwork and communication skills for curriculum coherence. Familiarity with digital tools for content creation and research. Skill in conveying Gods Word with simplicity and impact. Agreement with APCs Statement of Faith and solid theological grounding.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES At APC we are continuously growing and expanding hence, you will be
required to share in additional responsibilities. Being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willingness to work long hours when required.
