Algoscale Technologies - Python Developer - Backend Applications (3-6 yrs)

About the job :

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Python, SQL, AWS or GCP, and Docker. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, optimizing database queries, and deploying applications in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and efficient backend applications using Python.

- Design and optimize SQL queries and database schemas to ensure high performance and reliability.

- Deploy and manage applications on AWS or GCP using best practices for security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

- Containerize applications using Docker for development, testing, and production environments.

- Collaborate with frontend developers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to build robust applications.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

- Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and development environments.

- Implement security best practices for data handling and API development.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.

- Strong proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar) and query optimization.

- Proficiency in Django framework for backend development.

- Experience working with AWS or GCP (EC2, Lambda, S3, Cloud Functions, etc.

- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization best practices.

- Understanding of RESTful APIs and backend architecture principles.

- Experience with version control systems like Git.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) :

- Knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

- Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
