Senior Tax Associate - 1040s Expert

Role & responsibilities

Position Summary:

We are searching for qualified and motivated individuals with specialized experience in preparing 1040s tax returns to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of U.S. tax laws, particularly those applicable to high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, and corporations

Core Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Deliver a comprehensive range of individual tax services, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations within specified deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering excellent planning, consulting, and expertise to meet their tax needs.
• Specialized in tax planning and prepare/review complex 1040 tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. tax laws: with a preference for knowledge of BNA
• Analyze client documentation and gather necessary documentation to complete tax returns.
• Prepare and file extensions and amendments as needed.
• Work directly with U.S. in-charges, delivering exemplary service that exceeds clients expectations and fosters long-term relationships.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

• Professional qualifications such as CA, CA Inter, CPA, EA cleared/pursuing, or M.COM. with relevant experience.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in preparing U.S Tax from 1040 especially (HNI) high net worth individual tax returns.
• Experience working in a CPA firm or similar environment is highly desirable.
• Extensive knowledge of a broad range of U.S. income tax laws.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in tax software like - CCH Axcess and ProFx. Tax research software (Bloomberg BNA, RIA Checkpoint) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of US tax codes and regulations.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with U.S in-charges / Clients and team members.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during tax season.
• Ability to train and mentor staff, promoting a culture of learning and development.
