Snowflake Architect - Data Engineering (13-15 yrs)

Experience Required : 13+ years in Data Engineering/Architecture, with at least 5 years of recent experience in legacy EDW/Data Platform modernization and cloud migrations

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect with deep expertise in Snowflake to lead and design end-to-end data platform modernization and migration projects.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of making strategic architectural decisions, leading large-scale cloud migration projects, and delivering cutting-edge data solutions.

This role demands a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, strong technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate with clients and internal teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

Solution Architecture Design :

- Architect and design scalable, high-performance data platforms using Snowflake.

- Provide expertise in transitioning legacy EDW platforms to modern cloud-based solutions.

- Make informed architectural decisions and provide thought leadership on platform modernization and data strategies.

Project Leadership :

- Lead and execute at least 3 major data modernization or migration projects to Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud solutions in the past 5 years.

- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring solutions align with their business goals.

Hands-On Technical Expertise :

- Implement and optimize Snowflake-based solutions.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to solve technical challenges and ensure solution feasibility.

- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in data architecture and cloud technologies.

Stakeholder Collaboration :

- Work directly with clients to understand requirements, define strategies, and deliver high-quality solutions.

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear communication and project updates.

Required Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 10+ years in Data Architecture/Engineering roles.

- Snowflake Expertise : Extensive hands-on experience with Snowflake, including design, implementation, and optimization.

- Project Leadership : Proven experience leading at least 3 major modernization/migration projects involving Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms in the past 5 years.

- Architectural Decision-Making : Ability to make strategic, high-impact architectural decisions for complex projects.

- Technical Skills : Expertise in ETL/ELT, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data engineering concepts.

- Soft Skills : Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and team collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications in Snowflake or related technologies.

- Experience working with large enterprises like Cognizant, Wipro, or Deloitte.

- Knowledge of other data solutions like Databricks or Data Lake architectures
