Job Description
- Analyze drawings and specifications to determine the optimal use of materials and minimize waste.
- Generate cutlists from panel lists or 2D elevations, including the type and size of materials required for each project
- Generating estimates based on cutlist working.
- Generating material requirement list to forward to purchasing manager.
- Ensure that cutlists accurately reflect the specifications and requirements of each project.
- Monitor the use of materials and supplies, and order replacements as needed
- Maintain accurate records of materials and supplies, including the type, size, and cost of each item.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the use of materials and reduce waste.
- Detail oriented
- Experience in the measurement of the furniture
- Experience in the estimation, BOQ, layouts, Experience in AutoCAD now in production cutlist.
- Good in Excel sheet
- Experience 2 to 4 Years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in furniture manufacturing or a related field.
- Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to accurately calculate the quantity and size of materials required for each project.
- Deep understanding of woodworking, including the types and properties of different woods and the tools and techniques used in furniture manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with project managers and production workers.
- Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software and spreadsheet software, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel
