Officer - Waste Management

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to hazardous waste disposal.
  
• Manage daily operations of solid waste collection, transportation, and disposal.
  
• Coordinate with vendors for proper handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
  
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  
• Maintain accurate records of waste generation, segregation, and disposal.

• Supervise and support operational staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging high performance.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor service quality and ensure adherence to company standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.

• Cost Management: Implement strategies to reduce operational costs while maintaining service efficiency and effectiveness.

• Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

• Client Acquisition: Source new clients and promote waste management services, focusing on increasing market share.

• Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement marketing strategies and sales initiatives to meet company targets.

• Cost Estimation: Perform accurate cost calculations and provide estimates for quotations to clients.

• Quotation Tracking: Follow up on submitted quotations and maintain a tracking system for sales performance.

• Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for service improvement and expansion.

• Reporting: Maintain detailed records of marketing activities and outcomes, submitting weekly reports to management.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-7 years of experience in Hazardous Waste Management or Solid Waste Management.
  
• Strong knowledge of environment management principles and practices.
  
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
