Senior Network Engineer

Core Responsibilities

Access Control & Authentication:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE solutions for secure network access.
• Implement and manage RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, BYOD, and guest access solutions.
• Define and enforce security policies and posture assessments to ensure compliance.

System Maintenance & Updates:

• Perform regular backups of ClearPass or ISE configurations to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Conduct configuration checks to identify and resolve misconfigurations or deviations from standards.
• Manage and apply firmware updates to maintain system security and compatibility.

Network Operations & Support:

• Provide on-site support for troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues.
• Assist in VLAN segmentation and ensure seamless integration with access control solutions.
• Monitor system performance and health to ensure high availability and reliability.

Firewall & SD-WAN Management (Preferred):

• Configure and manage firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower) to enforce security policies.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot SD-WAN solutions to optimize WAN connectivity.

Documentation & Customer Reporting:

• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
• Generate and provide comprehensive reports to the customer, including system performance, health checks, incident analysis, and compliance metrics.
• Present insights and recommendations to enhance system efficiency and security.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the primary on-site contact for client interactions and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Provide training or knowledge sharing for customer teams as required.

Requirements

Certifications:

CCNA and CCNP (active certifications preferred).

Preferred: Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP) or Cisco Certified Specialist Security.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Aruba ClearPass or Cisco ISE.

Experience with firewalls and SD-WAN technologies is preferred.

Technical Expertise:

• Strong understanding of networking protocols: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, and 802.1X.
• Proven experience in system backups, configuration management, and firmware updates.
• Familiarity with security incident response and performance optimization techniques.

• Strong basics and a good understanding of Routing, Switching, Wireless, NAC and Security technologies.
• Security solutions knowledge & Troubleshooting especially Firewalls & NAC.
• Good knowledge of routing protocols and SD-WAN.
• Associate level/Professional level certifications. on R&S/Security/Wireless or equivalent technology domains.
• Experience in Configuring/Deploying and troubleshooting Medium & Largescale Networks.
