Software Development Engineer 3 (Python)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with expertise in Microservices Architecture, Data Engineering concepts, and full-stack development. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of leading teams, managing sprints effectively, and adhering to best development practices. This role requires hands-on experience in both Backend Development (FastAPI/Flask) and Frontend Development (Streamlit).

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of developers, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
• Sprint Management: Plan, manage, and execute development sprints while ensuring best practices are followed.
• Backend Development: Design, develop, and deploy backend systems using FastAPI/Flask.
• Frontend Development: Build and maintain interactive UIs using Streamlit or equivalent tools.
• Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices-based solutions to build scalable and modular applications.
• Data Engineering: Work on ETL pipelines, data processing, and transformations leveraging Python.
• Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and design principles.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, QA, and DevOps engineers, to deliver high-quality products.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
• At least 2+ years in a leadership or tech lead role.

Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Hands-on experience in Backend Development using FastAPI or Flask.
• Proficiency in Frontend Development using tools like Streamlit.
• Deep understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Solid foundation in Data Engineering concepts (ETL, data processing, data pipelines).

Team & Project Management:

• Proven experience leading teams, mentoring developers, and driving projects to completion.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Sprint management.

Best Practices:

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (Git), and code review processes.
• Familiarity with development best practices, including automated testing and documentation.

Soft Skills:
