ELV & BMS Drafting Engineer

• Develop detailed drawings as per the stage wise viz. Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Tender & VFG/GFC for ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, fire alarms, public address systems etc with all low voltage and IT systems) and BMS systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, and energy monitoring).
• Create shop drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), riser diagrams, and equipment layouts.
• Work closely with other disciplines (e.g., hvac, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting & sustainable teams) to integrate ELV and BMS systems seamlessly.
• Ensure designs comply with local and international standards (e.g., NFPA, ASHRAE, ISO, IEC, and BS).
• Adhere to project-specific guidelines and company drafting standards.

Maintain revision control and ensure all drawings are up-to-date.

• Analyze and resolve design issues or conflicts in collaboration with the engineering team.
• Proficient use of drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM software.
• Generate 2D and 3D models for ELV and BMS systems.
• Identify opportunities for cost-effective design solutions without compromising system efficiency.
• Optimize cable routes and component placements for ELV systems.
• Collaborate in selecting sensors, controllers, field devices, and communication interfaces (e.g., protocol converters, gateways).
• Guide junior drafting staff and ensure they follow best practices in drafting.
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to project teams and management.
• By fulfilling these roles, an ELV & BMS Drafting Engineer ensures that building automation and ELV systems are designed and executed efficiently, meeting technical and operational requirements.
