This job role is to manage the D365 Configurations across environments, monitoring and resolving functional issues reported from Production environments and triaging change requests where necessary.
ROLE PURPOSE
The Senior Functional Analyst is responsible for the configuration of D365 system based on user requirements. Creation, maintenance and management of the configuration architecture for the mid and back office functions that will be delivered.
As part of this role, the Senior Functional analyst will be required to work across a broad stakeholder group comprising both IT, business staff and support teams to capture, interpret and use information to align configuration to business requirements and DANs broader technology strategy and standards.
The Senior Functional analyst will act as the custodian of the configuration required for changes as part of the BAU organisation, ensuring it is maintained in a controlled manner with appropriate considerations made for its security and the global asset which DAN is working towards. You will be required to work with the Solutions team to ensure the configuration is updated in environments as required
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Produce and maintain the Solution Configuration Document, ensuring this is kept updated so all stakeholders are clear and agree on the end configuration required for the solution
Review all documentation across all project work streams to obtain a cohesive view and ensure the design specified achieves the agreed end solution
Maintaining the Configuration document and master config environment ensuring all requirements have been met in the solution design
Communicating with all stakeholders
Keeping appraised of enhancements developed in other projects through good communication with solution team
Advocating and enforcing the correct use of project frameworks, development standards and best practice
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
6 + Years of experience with Dynamics for finance and operations which includes financials, fixed assets, project accounting.
Clear understanding of finance modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365
Understanding of AR, AP, Fixed Assets GL, PO.
Experience with the Data Management Framework.
Experience of running data exports and import projects.
Experience of Project Operations (earlier known as Project Service Automation[PSA]) is a plus.
Ability to work with business and solutions teams to analyse requirements, implement configuration enhancements as requested.
Ability to impact assess any configuration being asked for to ensure this aligns with DAN standard approach and governance.
Experience in a complex matrixed, international and cross-cultural organisation.
Proven experience with working within delivery timelines and budget restraints.
