Job Description
This role takes responsibility for the development of customizations, custom extensions and reports for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O application across all modules (Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report).
Key responsibilities:
- Designing and developing custom applications, features, and integrations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) F&O platform
- Collaborating with functional/configuration consultants and project managers to gather and analyze requirements
- Translating functional requirements into technical requirements
- Development/Coding of customizations, Crea ting and ma intaining technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides
- Leading design conversations with the rest of the Finance technical team
- Working alongside the Platform Engineers, Functional Consultants and Global Process team on critical projects to support the business, as well as troubleshoot and resolve production incidents
- Ensuring the quality and performance of the developed programs and solutions through rigorous testing and debugging, peer-to-peer code reviews and full end to end test executions
- Fixing defects/change requests arising out of various test phases and post go-live
- Providing ongoing support and maintenance for D365 F&O application, including troubleshooting, and resolving issues
- Staying up to date with the latest relevant technologies, best practices, and industry trends
Experience and Skills:
Graduate in Computer Science/Engineering/Information Technology or Computer Applications with overall 6 + experience with at least 3 years Experience with:
- D365 F&O platform and the underlying Microsoft Technologies
- Microsoft Azure platform
- Azure Devops processes and tools
- Integration experience using both Web based technologies (Soap, Rest) and integration/middleware tools ( e.g BizTalk, Snaplogic etc.)
- In depth knowledge of D365 technical preferably with certification
- Good knowledge of D365 customizations/custom extensions and Reporting
- Good knowledge of inbound and outbound integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Proficient in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) - both waterfall and agile/ devops ; Preferably with certifications in Azure DevOps and Agile Scrum
- Experience in various software designs, languages, and architecture
- Good understanding of design engineering principles and best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills, data and software applications
- Ability to work on own or contribute as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and resourcefulness
- Proven ability to deliver on commitments
