Job Description

Job Overview

The Asst. Manager/Manager Business Development (Overseas Department) is responsible for driving growth in international markets through the sale of electrical products. This role involves identifying new opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with global clients, and executing strategies to achieve revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the electrical industry, including market dynamics, technical specifications, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. International Sales and Market Development
    • Identify and explore business opportunities for electrical products in targeted international markets.
    • Conduct market research to understand customer requirements, competitive landscape, and regulatory environments.
    • Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and grow the existing client base.
  2. Client Relationship Management
    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key international clients, distributors, and partners.
    • Act as the primary contact for overseas clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Negotiate and close contracts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
  3. Order Execution
  • Responsible for preparing & submitting timely offers/quotation and tender related documents for turnkey projects.
  • Responsible in Executing Turnkey Orders/Supply Orders from Order receipt till the receipt of the payments & commission.
  • Assisting Principals/Suppliers in approving the products with the end clients like State Utility Boards, State Transmission Line Companies, Private Power Sector companies, etc.
  • Responsible for coordinating and assisting Principals/Suppliers & clients for Inspection, Type Test & Factory Acceptance Tests.
  1. Revenue Growth and Performance Management
    • Achieve or exceed sales targets for electronics products in assigned international territories.
    • Monitor sales performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure goals are met.
    • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize revenue streams.
  2. Market Intelligence and Reporting
    • Stay updated on global trends, technological advancements, and emerging opportunities in the electronics industry.
    • Provide regular reports on sales activities, market trends, and business development progress to senior management.
    • Offer strategic insights to refine products and market approaches based on feedback from international clients.
    • Preparing Yearly Sales Plan & regularly submitting Weely / Monthly MIS to Management.

Essentials

  • Fluency in English is MUST.
  • Preferred having experience in Trading of industrial products (B2B)
  • Well versed with Commercial Terms.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment and handling cross-border business transactions.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, if needed.
  • Preferred Industry: Power Transmission, Substation, Cables & Wire Industry, Under Ground Cable Industry, EPC Construction OR any B2B engineering product sales company.
