DevOps AWS Engineer

Key Candidate Requirements:

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Python coding with strong coding abilities.

2. Expertise in AWS (Amazon Web Services), including a broad understanding of core AWS components.

3. Advanced knowledge of Linux with the ability to manage Linux systems effectively. Os Patching experience is must

Role Expectations:

4. Focus on engineers who can build from scratch rather than just configuring tools.

5. Hands-on experience in developing pipelines and automation rather than managing pre-existing configurations.

6. Demonstrated ability to create significant impact in their projects, such as improving efficiency, reducing costs, or building scalable solutions.

Work Location & Engagement:

7. Full-time, in-office work at the Amazon PLO office in Bangalore (remote or work-from-home is not allowed).

8. Immediate joiners are preferred, with flexibility for candidates on notice periods who can join soon.

9. Engagement to start as a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension to a 1-year full engagement.

Years of Experience:

10. 46 years of relevant experience, though the emphasis is more on quality and impact of work than the specific number of years.

Interview Process:

11. Multi-round interviews lasting 23 hours, focusing on technical depth, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to articulate project impacts.

Preferred Candidate Traits:

12. A developer-oriented mindset who can contribute as a systems developer or integrator.

13. Familiarity with building or enhancing tools and platforms in DevOps environments.

14. Not limited to “used tools” but has created or significantly customized tools or systems.
