Devops Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Understand Managed Services customer solutions, architecture, requirements from a business
& technical context.

2. Deploying and managing Adeptia proprietary applications in customer on-prem/Adeptia
hosted cloud in Azure by adapting CI/CD pipeline using Devops tools chain (e.g.,

Git, Azure-DevOps, Git and Terraform).

3. Work with DevOps team to build multi-region highly available systems in Azure, make faster
DR, ensure Security like EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response).

4. Work extensively with Kubernetes and topics such as Node, Pods, Services, Ingress, PV/PVC,
Statefulset, Configmap, Secret etc.

5. Work with a team to build and create multiple Azure services for continuous deployment of
applications in DEV/QA/PROD environments based on Containerized Technology.

6. Use Terraform modules to automate infrastructure provisioning, terraform scripts to set up
Azure and automate the deployment of Adeptia solution & infrastructure.

7. Work on Azure API, API Gateway, App Services and Azure Open AI.

8. Monitor the performance of the Adeptia application and solution for computing,storage,
database performance and network resource utilization and performance degradation.

9. Work with a team in configuration changes based on industry best practices to the growing
solution and system needs.

10. Perform regularly scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system and application
performance

11. Follow Agile methodology such as Scrum, Kanban for faster and continuous delivery.

12. Work closely with the Development/Implementation team to review requirements and Design
docs and discuss Testing Scope for enhancements, fixes

13. Collaborate with System Architect on how to best design their cloud applications for optimal
scaling including content caching, compute optimizations, continuous

integration, and delivery pipeline, load balancer setup, and more

Desired Skills

1.Knowledge and experience in Azure Cloud. Worked on Azure web application, App services,
Azure MySQL Database, Azure storage (Blob, File), Azure Functions, Virtual

machines, Virtual Network, Azure DNS, Load Balancer, VPN Gateway, Express Route,Fabric
controller, Azure AD, Azure Data Factory, Azure Service Bus, and notification hub.

2.Experience in Kubernetes cluster using Container Platform such as AKS and good knowledge
on Pods, Replica Set, Deployments (Rolling updates, scale up, scale down),

Services, Networking, Helm, Helm Chart, Stateful sets, Persistent volume, K8s scheduler, Node
Affinity, Metric Server, Configmaps, certificate management etc.

3. Expertise in deploying and managing microservices applications using containerization.

4. Familiarity with cloud-based disaster recovery and HA system development

5. Experience on Linux Server administration.

6. Experience in CI/CD tools such as Azure-DevOps, Git, GitHub, and automation and provisioning
tools (Ansible/Chef/Puppet/Terraform)

7. Knowledge in writing code PowerShell / Bash Shell.

8. Good knowledge of Kubernetes monitoring tools such as EFK (Elasticsearch, Fluentd, and
Kibana), Data dog, Prometheus and Grafana.

9. Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, New Relic, SolarWinds)

10. Understanding of VPN, LAN, WAN, Web Application, Firewalls, Anti-malware, Application
Control, DDoS.

11. Understanding ITSM tools like Zendesk, JIRA, etc.

12. Basic understanding of databases including MySQL, SQL Server and Oracle & in DB client
software like DBVisualizer, SQL Server Management Studio, TOAD, etc.

13. Understanding of SOC / Security and Compliance Requirements.

14. Familiarity with zero trust and micro segmentation models.

15. Understanding of development utilizing Agile or iterative project techniques and
methodologies.

16. Can effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Basic Qualifications:

• B. Tech or BCA with 4+ years of total working experience.
• A professional with around 4+ years of experience in various roles as Cloud DevOps engineer
  with top-notch experience in Configuring and Deploying Services on Azure

Cloud, using CI/CD tools namely Azure-DevOps, Source Code Management (SCM) which
encompasses experience in Build/Release.

• 4+ Years of Expert understanding and hands-on experience of container deployment and
  orchestration technologies, particularly Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Kubernetes

Service.

• Linux Administration and configuration management and infrastructure as a code tool
  namely Chef, Ansible, Puppet, and Terraform.
• A clear understanding of Agile, Scrum Methodologies.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate. In particular AZ-104.
• Experience working as a Cloud DevOps engineer or similar within a medium or large
  organization
