Back End Developer

Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable server-side applications using Node.js.
• Design, build, and document RESTful APIs to power front-end applications.
• Collaborate closely with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements built with React.js.
• Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and seamless user experience.
• Manage and maintain databases, including MySQL (relational) and MongoDB (NoSQL).
• Deploy, monitor, and manage applications on AWS using services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Configure and maintain web servers like Nginx and Apache for high-performance, secure applications.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and debug issues across the stack.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code adhering to industry best practices.
• Ensure application security and data protection through secure coding practices.
• Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver innovative features.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of hands-on experience in Node.js development.
• Strong command of JavaScript/TypeScript, including ES6+ syntax.
• In-depth understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies, especially React.js.
• Proficiency with databases: MySQL and MongoDB.
• Practical experience with AWS services and infrastructure management.
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of web servers such as Nginx and Apache.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• Previous experience in EdTech, HRTech, or FinTech industries is a plus.
