Job Description

GOVERNANCE, RISK & CONTROLS:

JOB DESCRIPTION: Governance, Risk & Controls (GRC) team plays a crucial role in ensuring that the Organization adheres to regulatory requirements, manages risks effectively, and maintains high standards of governance across its operations for Adamsbridge (ABG). This team ensures that ABG operate with Integrity, transparency, and accountability, while effectively managing risk and adhering to Regulatory requirements, to ensure that ABG operates in an effective and robust control environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop Policies & procedures:

  • Create, update & maintain governance, risk management, and compliance policies and procedures tailored to the specific needs and regulatory requirements of ABG.
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards, best practices, and legal frameworks governing ABG Operations
  • Conduct a gap assessment of current controls with industry frameworks, or regulatory requirements, and implement robust remediation to fix those gaps.

Regulatory, Assurance & Internal Controls:

  • Monitor regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Establish processes for monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, conducting audits, and reporting compliance status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain an effective internal control frameworks to ensure the integrity of Operations, Client expectations per agreed SLA / MSA, safeguard assets, prevent fraud and misuse of resources within ABG.
  • Conduct periodic internal control reviews and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions.

Incident Management:

  • Develop processes for identifying, gathering, analyzing, reporting, and escalating incidents, breaches, and compliance issues within ABG.
  • Develop an incident response effort, investigate root causes of incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and minimize impact on operations.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and prioritize risks associated with ABG operations, including operational, financial, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Develop risk management strategies and controls to mitigate existing, new & emerging risks and ensure proactive risk mitigation across ABG.
  • Assess and manage risks associated with vendors, suppliers, and third-party service providers supporting ABG operations.
  • Establish vendor risk management processes to evaluate vendor performance, assess contractual compliance, and mitigate risks associated with outsourcing arrangements.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness of governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives within ABG.
  • Monitor performance against established KPIs, identify trends and patterns, and take corrective actions as needed to address deficiencies and improve performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on governance, risk, and compliance activities to senior management of ABG.

Qualification / skills expected:

  • Masters degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Operational Risk & Controls in a highly regulated business environment and a practical knowledge of internal controls, including the development and maintenance of appropriate framework and related MI/KRIs
  • Possess strong Stakeholder management experience including strong ability to negotiate and influence cross function and both internally and externally.
  • Self-motivated. Work autonomously to effect change - flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. Ability to manage ambiguity, and make subjective and informed decisions, influence stakeholders and justify decision making.
  • Problem solving / analytical skills - solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions.
  • Build & motivate teams to ensure the team’s potential is used effectively and ensure appropriate skillset enhancement.
