Electrical Officer

AD SHIP MANAGEMENT is looking for Electrical Officer to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey

Electrical System Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all electrical systems on board the vessel, including power generation, distribution, and lighting systems

Equipment Inspections: Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical machinery, instruments, and systems to ensure they meet safety and operational standards

Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and rectify electrical faults or malfunctions in a timely manner, coordinating with the engineering team and utilizing technical knowledge and expertise

Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and protocols related to electrical systems to minimize risks and hazards on board

Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes

Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to junior electrical personnel, assisting in their training and development

Emergency Response: Act promptly and effectively during emergency situations, such as electrical failures, to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of the crew and vessel

Skills and Qualifications:Electrical engineering qualification and relevant maritime certifications (STCW)

Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment found on ships

Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical issues and conducting repairs

Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to maritime electrical systems

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults
