AI/ML Engineer

Job Brief

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML powered solutions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in building chatbots, recommendation systems, predictive models, and statistical analysis tools. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create data-driven solutions that drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI Solution Development:
  Design and build scalable AI solutions such as chatbots, recommendation engines, and predictive models.
• Model Deployment:
  Implement and deploy machine learning models into production environments, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
• Data Analysis and Processing:
  Conduct in-depth data analysis and preprocessing, including handling large datasets and ensuring data quality.
• Statistical Modelling:
  Develop and apply statistical models to identify patterns, trends, and insights from complex data.
• Collaboration:
  Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate AI solutions into products and services.
• Performance Optimization:
  Monitor and refine model performance through iterative processes, including hyperparameter tuning and validation.
• Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, models, and solutions. Present
findings and solutions to stakeholders.

Academic & trades qualifications

Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Work experience & skills

• Experience: 3-8 years of experience in AI, data science, machine learning, or a related field.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R
• Hands-on experience with NLP tools and libraries (spaCy, NLTK, GPT models).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).
• Strong understanding of statistical analysis and hypothesis testing using SAS/SPSS
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large data sets.
• Strong communication skills to present complex data insights to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience in building statistical models using SAS/SPSS
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with database querying languages (e.g., SQL and Alteryx).

• Generative AI: GPT 3, GPT 4, Llama, Gemini, Langchain, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM

• Visualization: Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau/Power BI
• Deployment: Docker, Kubernetes, Flask/FastAPI
