Engineer - Production (CNC Programming, PPC & NPD

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Engineer - Production to join our team in Doddaballapur, Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be a proficient CNC programmer with a strong understanding of FANUC controls, capable of independently writing programs from 2D drawings. This role encompasses responsibility for production output, quality control, comprehensive Production Planning and Control (PPC) across cold forging and CNC turning operations, and active involvement in New Product Development (NPD). The candidate will also be expected to provide regular progress updates through weekly presentations and consistently meet production targets.

Responsibilities:

CNC Programming:

• Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs (FANUC controls) based on 2D engineering drawings.
• Setup and operate 15+ CNC machines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve programming and machining issues.

Production Output & Quality Control:

• Ensure high-quality production output and maintain consistent production.
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of machined components.
• Focus on reducing rejections and errors.

Production Planning and Control (PPC):

• Manage production planning for cold forging and CNC turning operations.
• Plan and schedule production activities to meet deadlines.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize production flow.

New Product Development (NPD):

• Actively participate in the development of new products based on design specifications.
• Submit NPD components on time and ensure they meet quality and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability.

Reporting & Presentations:

• Prepare and deliver weekly presentations on production progress, challenges, and NPD updates.
• Track and report on KPIs related to production, quality, and NPD.

Operational Management:

• Manage and optimize operations of 15+ CNC machines.
• Ensure proper maintenance of CNC machines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in CNC programming and machine operation.
• Expertise in FANUC CNC controls and the ability to read 2D engineering drawings.
• Strong machining knowledge and quality control experience.
• Experience in Production Planning and Control (PPC), particularly for cold forging and CNC turning.
• Proficiency in new product development processes.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Diploma or bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience in the automotive or precision component manufacturing industry.

• Willingness to travel and live near Doddaballapur, Bangalore.
