Accounts Assistant

Role & responsibilities

• Financial Management:
  
• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis with actionable insights.
• Audit and Compliance:
  
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
• Ensure adherence to local and international accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Financial Analysis:
  
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Provide recommendations to improve financial performance and cost efficiency.
• Process Improvement:
  
• Implement and enhance financial systems, policies, and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Ensure the integrity and security of financial data.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  
• Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial management and accounting operations for our mining business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for regular journal entries and weekly reconciliations of accounts in Tally and creation of documents(excel/word) for monthly closure procedures, half yearly managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, year-end closing processes with controllers and external auditors, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
