Role Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer in our SaaS product-based company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of quality assurance principles, possess both manual and automation testing expertise, and be capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver a flawless user experience. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and addressing software defects, ensuring the integrity of our SaaS applications, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.

This role involves a range of responsibilities and activities, including but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
• Identify and prioritize test cases based on the impact and criticality of features.
• Manual Testing
• Execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of the software.
• Identify, document, and thoroughly report software defects, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
• Automation Testing –
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and tools.
• Implement and execute automated test suites for regression testing, performance testing, and other critical scenarios.
• Collaboration –
• Work closely with developers to understand the technical aspects of the application and participate in the early stages of the development process.
• Engage in continuous communication with cross-functional teams to address testing needs and provide feedback on product quality.
• Quality Metrics –
• Define and monitor key quality metrics to assess the effectiveness of testing efforts.
• Analyze and report test results to relevant stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement.
• Continuous Improvement –
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate new testing techniques and tools as appropriate.

Key Skills:

• Testing Expertise –
• Proven experience in both manual and automation testing of SaaS applications.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
• Automation Tools –
• Proficiency in using automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar
• Programming Languages –
• Solid programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation script development.
• Collaboration –
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical Skills –
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address software defects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field
• Proven experience of 4 to 6 years in quality assurance with a focus on SaaS products.
• Relevant certifications in software testing and quality assurance are a plus.
