Assessment Specialist

Job Title: Assessment Creators and Reviewers (Grades 6-12, Math & Science)

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Assessment Creators and Reviewers to develop high-quality, standards-aligned assessments in Math and Science for grades 6-12. This role requires a strong understanding of assessment design principles, cognitive rigor, and effective feedback strategies to support student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 20-25 high-quality assessment items per day aligned with the given curriculum, minimizing the need for revisions.
• Design diagnostic assessments with clear learning objectives, ensuring alignment with Bloom's Taxonomy, Depth of Knowledge (DoK), and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix.
• Create pedagogically sound distractor rationales, hints, and feedback that enhance student understanding and assessment interpretation.
• Ensure assessment items reflect appropriate difficulty levels and cognitive demand, distinguishing between cognitive load and item difficulty.
• Apply proven assessment design frameworks to develop questions that assess understanding, application, analysis, and higher-order thinking skills.
• Review and refine assessment items to ensure they are error-free, well-structured, and fully aligned with educational standards.
• Collaborate effectively with the project team to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in creating or reviewing assessment items for educational institutions, edtech companies, or similar fields.
• Strong knowledge of Blooms Taxonomy, Depth of Knowledge (DoK), and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix.
• Exceptional command of written English, with strong attention to detail for error-free content.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
• Expertise in designing effective diagnostic assessments and providing insightful feedback and distractor rationales.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational product training or product demo experience for schools and teachers. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in training educators on digital learning platforms and other educational products.

💰 Salary Range: ₹7-9 LPA
