Design And Proposal Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and design processes for water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, ensuring efficient and effective treatment solutions.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for water treatment projects
• Perform detailed engineering calculations for various water treatment plants, including Pre-Treatment, Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Ultrafiltration (UF)/Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems, Condensate Polishing Units (CPU) systems, Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, and Evaporators, etc.
• Evaluate and assess different technologies from various vendors, ensuring the selection of optimal solutions for water treatment projects.
• Review Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and cost estimates.
• Ensure that designs comply with relevant municipal and industrial water treatment standards.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, address their queries, and present analytical reports.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in water treatment technologies and industry best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a design department within the water treatment industry.
• Proficient in process design and engineering calculations for water treatment plants.
• Familiarity with Pre-Treatment, ETP, STP, UF/RO systems, CPU systems, ZLD, and Evaporators.
• Ability to create and interpret P&IDs, GA drawings, and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of municipal and industrial water treatment standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interactions and report presentations.
• Experience in evaluating and negotiating with technology vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including field teams and clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• A proactive approach to adopting new technologies and improving existing processes
