Job Description

• Responsible for smooth functioning of dept. in relation to manpower, machines, material, method (process), measurement, safety, environment & management.
• Overall responsible for achieving dept. KPIs in relation to production, utilization, quality & scrap.
• Providing manpower resource to department, appraising technical manpower periodically and providing feedback on performance to team members as and when required. Arranging, providing training, and updating of skill matrices of tubing personnel.
• Continuous improvement activities planning in dept. for cost saving, improvements in product quality, machine and tooling technical improvements and upgrades, etc.
• Budgeting for dept. for manpower, spares and capex requirements on yearly basis.
• Analysis of machine utilization, REE, high scrap jobs, etc. and providing input to Aisa coordinator for actions on tubing machines for improvement and scrap reduction.
• Conducting improvement meet for waste analysis and actions for technical improvements and reduction in scrap in coordination with other support departments.
• Implementing action plans and follow up for project related work for CI, technical improvements, NPD, and cost saving in dept.
• Getting indents raised for Aisa tooling and machine spares as per requirements from tool room technician and maintenance team.
• Handling of shift operations. Responsible for shift leaders functioning, training, guiding, and resolving manpower and technical issues faced by them in shifts in all departments.
• Interaction with dept. personnel for quality defaults and discipline related issues, counselling staff, union workers and contract workers as and when required and taking disciplinary actions along with HR dept.
• Responsible for taking quality related decisions in dept. along with quality dept. head as and when required.
• Conducting RCA with team members and concerned for customer complaints and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Responsible for successful dept. audits related to ISO, BRC etc. and clearing customer audits.
• Monthly reporting of dept. KPIs for Goa plant.

Knowledge/Technical Skills required:

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team of 20-30 people with effective teamwork skills.
• Analytical skills to address machine breakdowns and corrective actions.
• Strong supervisory skills to manage the workforce efficiently.

Experience and qualifications:

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 12-15 years of experience..

CTC: Up to 10 Lakhs

NOTE - Experience should be from Lamitubes manufacturing companies only.
