Job Description:

• Calculate the cost of garments based on fabric, trims, accessories, labor, overheads, and logistics.
• Prepare detailed cost sheets for various styles and categories.
• Analyze and control material consumption, wastage, and cost variances.
• Ensure that pricing aligns with target margins and competitive market rates.
• Assess the cost impact of different fabric types, trims, and embellishments.
• Work with production and technical teams to determine the most cost-effective manufacturing methods.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in sourcing and production without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers to obtain cost-efficient pricing for raw materials.
• Monitor market price fluctuations and update costing accordingly.
• Maintain a database of material costs and supplier quotations.
• Maintain and update costing records for future reference and decision-making.
• Generate cost comparison reports and track cost trends over time.
• Provide cost breakdowns and profitability analysis for management approval.
