Job Description:

Position: Freelancer CRC and/or COC

Shift Timings: At Least 3 Hrs per day

Years of Experience: 3-5 Years

Job Mode: Work From home

JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:

• Review and answer easy, moderate, and difficult coding queries.
• Conduct thorough research to determine whether edits provided by SME 1 are appropriate or any corrections required for CPT, ICD 10CM and Modifiers
• Review the queries edited by SME1 and make the corrections based on the coding case and rational in the provided excel template.
• Thoroughly review the coded cases and rationales with appropriate CPT, ICD 10CM and Modifier codes.
• Monitor the updates from federal resources.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Skills Needed (Must Have)

1. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant medical coding experience, major surgery coding experience is mandatory (for example experience in coding or auditing of at least two or three years)

2. Experience in US healthcare coding industry is preferred.

3. Expert in identifying the ICD 10-CM Codes based on the query.

4. Expert in pro-fee coding.

5. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

6. CRC and/or COC

7. University/college degree.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/ SKILL SET)
