In this role, you will lead, manage, and mentor a team of DevOps engineers.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Provide effective leadership, guidance, and support to a team of software engineers, fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.

- Ensure alignment of team efforts with organizational goals and customer requirements.

- Set and monitor KPIs for team members, ensuring alignment with business objectives and performance targets.

- Conduct regular 121 Meetings based on Engineering Metrics and provide feedback to team members, identifying areas for improvement and professional development.

- Resolve conflicts and interpersonal challenges within the team to ensure a healthy and collaborative environment.

- Collaborate with cross-functional managers to ensure smooth project delivery.

- Foster good team dynamics and manage the allocation of resources, to meet project and organizational needs efficiently.

- Ensure management practices promote a positive and inclusive culture within the organization, ensuring everyone feels valued and their contributions matter.

- Take ownership of the talent pipeline by streamlining recruitment, maintaining candidate engagement, and ensuring a seamless onboarding process for new team members.

- Lead team meetings to address blockers, celebrate wins and ensure alignment with the team's objectives.

- Monitor team performance and track progress using engineering metric measuring tools to identify areas for improvement.

- Take ownership of the technical direction, architecture, and development of cloud-native applications.

- Oversee the design, deployment, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure, particularly on AWS.

- Act as the primary point of contact between the DevOps team and other departments, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration.

- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment where team members can thrive and grow.

REPORTING LINE :

- You will report to the Manager II, Engineering Management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Science or MCA.

- AWS Certified Solution Architect/ DevOps professionals.

- Proven hands-on experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, and strong proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies.

- Experience leading or mentoring a technical team, with strong project management and organizational skills.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding both technical decisions and team development.

- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

PREFERRED SKILLSET :

- Experience in architecting reusable IaC modules.

- Expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.

- Strong understanding of automation frameworks and principles.

- Understanding compliance frameworks like GDPR, SOC 2, or ISO 27001.

- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.

- Adept at aligning DevOps practices with business goals.

- Ability to manage timelines, scope, and deliverables effectively across multiple projects.

- Interest in exploring and integrating new DevOps tools and methodologies.

- Ability to develop and track team Performance Metrics.
