Job Description:
- The Sr. Director, Global Business Services (GBS) will lead and optimize service delivery for Retail Operations including Merchandising, Demand Chain, Construction/Maintenance, Analytics, and Corporate Services including Finance, HR Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Strategic Sourcing within Global Solution Center (GSC).
- This role will drive operational excellence, business transformation, and strategic alignment to support the world's largest convenience store company.
- The role requires strong collaboration with global stakeholders to develop, plan, and execute strategies that enhance business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery Leadership:
- Oversee end-to-end service delivery for GBS, ensuring high-quality support for Retail Operations and Corporate Services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service excellence.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Partner with global stakeholders to define, plan, and execute GBS strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure seamless integration of GSC/GCC operations with corporate and regional business units.
Operational Performance & Process Optimization:
- Establish and track KPIs to measure service effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement.
- Drive process automation, standardization, and best practices to optimize service delivery.
Technology & Digital Transformation:
- Leverage AI, analytics, and automation to enhance GBS service efficiency and innovation.
- Collaborate with IT and digital teams to implement scalable and data-driven solutions.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management:
- Build strong partnerships with global business leaders across Retail Operations and Corporate Services to align GBS initiatives with strategic priorities.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between GSC teams and business units.
Talent Development & Team Leadership:
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence.
- Implement workforce development initiatives, including training, upskilling, and succession planning.
Governance, Compliance & Cost Efficiency:
- Ensure adherence to corporate policies, legal and regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
- Drive cost optimization strategies while maintaining high service quality and delivering measurable business value.
- This role is critical in transforming and optimizing GBS delivery, ensuring alignment with the company's global strategic objectives while driving efficiency, innovation, and operational excellence
Qualifications & Experience:
- 18+ years of experience in Global Business Services (GBS), Corporate Services, Finance, or Operations, with a proven track record of leading large-scale business transformation initiatives.
- Extensive experience in setting up, scaling, and optimizing Global Capability Centers (GCCs) or Shared Services (GBS) operations for multinational organizations.
- Proven ability to build and lead global teams, influence C-suite executives and senior stakeholders, and drive strategic business transformation.
- Expertise in leveraging AI, analytics, automation, and digital transformation to enhance service delivery and optimize operational efficiency.
- Strong background in business planning, process standardization, and performance optimization, aligning GBS strategies with global business objectives.
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships, governance, compliance, and cost efficiency, ensuring seamless integration with corporate and regional business units.
- Willingness to travel internationally to collaborate with global leaders and drive enterprise-wide GBS initiatives.
