Steel Fixer Job Description
- Analyzing construction drawings and blueprints to determine the specific requirements for reinforcing concrete.
- Selecting the type, size, and arrangement of steel bars or mesh needed for each project based on specifications.
- Preparing, cutting, and bending steel reinforcement bars according to project requirements using tools such as cutting torches, bending machines, or manual hand tools.
- Positioning steel bars within concrete molds (formwork) to ensure structural strength and tying bars together with wire to maintain correct alignment and spacing.
- Securing steel bars with binding wire or welding to maintain their position during concrete pouring and assembling reinforcement cages for large projects.
- Ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards, including conducting inspections and adhering to safety procedures.
- Collaborating with other construction workers and site supervisors to integrate steel reinforcement seamlessly with the overall construction process.
- Experience in steel fixing or related field is preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of heavy materials.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
3 years contract, will be renewed for more years.

Free travel to work daily.
