WAN is a network that spans a large geographical area, connecting multiple LANs or remote locations.
VLAN is a virtual LAN that enables the creation of multiple logical networks within a single physical network infrastructure.
VLANs provide segmentation, security, and flexibility by separating network traffic into different broadcast domains.
For example, in a company, different departments can be assigned to separate VLANs to isolate their network traffic.
