A VPC endpoint is a virtual device within a VPC that enables private connectivity to AWS services without requiring an internet gateway or NAT device.

VPC endpoints allow communication between instances in your VPC and AWS services without leaving the Amazon network.

Interface Endpoints are elastic network interfaces with private IP addresses that serve as an entry point for traffic destined to a supported service.
Gateway Endpoints are a target for a specified route in your route table, used for traffic destined to a supported AWS service.
Examples of AWS services that can be accessed through VPC endpoints include S3, DynamoDB, and SNS.
