Event listeners can be added to either the capturing or bubbling phase using the addEventListener method.
Event.stopPropagation() can be used to stop the event from propagating further in the DOM tree.
Event.preventDefault() can be used to prevent the default behavior of an element, such as submitting a form or following a link.
