The high-pressure liquid refrigerant then passes through the expansion valve, where it expands and evaporates, absorbing heat from the surroundings.
The low-pressure refrigerant then enters the evaporator, where it absorbs more heat and turns into a gas, which is then sucked back into the compressor to start the cycle again.
Examples of refrigerants used in the cycle include R-134a, R-410A, and ammonia.
