Some parameter of straight grate pellet plant 
1. Grate - A moving grate that's divided into zones for drying, preheating, firing, and cooling.
2. Hearth layer - A layer of pellets that's placed on the pallet car to protect it from overheating and improve gas distribution .
3. Side layer- A layer of pellets that's placed on the pallet car to protect it from overheating and improve gas distribution .
4. Pellet cars - A continuous flow of pallet cars that move through the furnace, carrying the pellets through the thermal zones.
5.Burners- Multiple burners that can be independently controlled to adjust to changes in concentrate feed.

# The straight grate process involves the following steps:
Feeding: Green pellets are fed onto the hearth layer 
Drying: The pellets are dried in the up-draft drying (UDD) and down-draft drying (DDD) zones 
Preheating: The pellets are preheated in the preheating (PH) zone 
Firing: The pellets are fired in the first firing (F1) and second firing (F2) zones 
Cooling: The pellets are cooled in the first cooling (C1) and second cooling (C2) zones 
The goal of the straight grate process is to turn pelletized concentrate into hardened pellets that can be used as feed for blast furnaces or direct reduction furnaces.
