This interview was 100% technical and last for 2 hrs/each round. Total 2 rounds, second round was CAD test but in that also some questions were asked. Most of the questions were on “Basics of Mechanical Engineering (Machine design, Theory of machines, strength of material etc)”. Like, what are the theories of failure, design against static and fluctuating loading, Basics of GD&T, endurance strength and limit etc. Some questions were based on past experiences like what is pump head, how to calculate, what is frictional losses in pipes, what is water hammer and how to arrest it.
