I would myself get involved with the customer , and try to delegate other person for the injured staff and ask him to call the doctor , as myself is not a doctor , instead allow the customer to be comfortable , if I know the job , I will do it myself , if not , then procrastinate , so that the customer feels comfortable and can see that , how much serious is the company about any customers.
