Refrigeration cycle is a process in which a refrigerant absorbs heat from a low-temperature space and rejects it in a high-temperature space.

The refrigeration cycle consists of four main components: compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator.
The refrigerant starts as a low-pressure gas in the evaporator where it absorbs heat from the space being cooled.
The compressor then compresses the refrigerant into a high-pressure gas, increasing its temperature.
The hot, high-pressure gas then flows into the condenser where it releases heat to the surroundings and condenses into a high-pressure liquid.
The expansion valve then reduces the pressure of the liquid refrigerant, causing it to evaporate and absorb heat again in the evaporator.
This cycle continues to maintain the desired temperature in the refrigerated space.
