Please take your time and be very clear in terms of your expectation when you’re negotiating your CTC with HR. Please study industry standard basis your work experience and negotiate accordingly. Don’t take any emotional decision which you might regret later on. While answering the reason behind looking for a new opportunity, please don’t start saying bad things about your current role or organisation because that will definitely reduce your chances of selecting. I feel one should always start saying that my current role is quite exciting but because of so and so reasons and considering my preference and long term goals, I think I would be a good fit for this new role where I can contribute much more and make a difference to myself as well as the organisation which is a win-win situation.
