VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP are functions in Excel used to search for a value in a table and return a corresponding value.

VLOOKUP stands for vertical lookup and is used to search for a value in the leftmost column of a table and return a value from a specified column in the same row.
HLOOKUP stands for horizontal lookup and is used to search for a value in the top row of a table and return a value from a specified row in the same column.
Both functions are commonly used for data analysis, data validation, and creating dynamic reports in Excel.
Example of VLOOKUP: VLOOKUP(123, A1:B10, 2, FALSE) will search for the value 123 in column A and return the corresponding value from column B.
Example of HLOOKUP: HLOOKUP(456, A1:E5, 3, FALSE) will search for the value 456 in the top row and return the corresponding value from the third row.

Lookup is a formula by which we can extract data from a table.  If we don't use vlook up then we can use match+index formula to get data
