Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..

The recruitment process included a huge assignment, which involved designing an emailer, a poster, creating a reel, and more. This is unlike any design test I have encountered before.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers - I would like to express my disappointment with the recruitment process at the company. I applied for the position of graphic designer here. After submitting the assignment, I was informed that my resume would be forwarded and that I could expect a follow-up call from a team member tomorrow (23 August 2024). I have waited for 2-3 days for that call. However, after that despite sending multiple follow-up emails and making calls, I did not receive any updates or responses from the company. This experience has left me feeling let down by the lack of communication and follow-through in the process. It feels like they just ghosted me.
