RAID 0: Striping without parity. Requires a minimum of 2 HDDs. Offers increased performance but no data protection.
RAID 1: Mirroring. Requires a minimum of 2 HDDs. Offers data redundancy by duplicating all data onto a second drive.
RAID 5: Striping with distributed parity. Requires a minimum of 3 HDDs. Offers a balance of performance and data protection.
RAID 10: Combines mirroring and striping. Requires a minimum of 4 HDDs. Offers both performance and data redundancy.
RAID 6: Striping with double distributed parity. Requires a minimum of 4 HDDs. Offers high data protection even with two drive failures.
