BJT stands for Bipolar Junction Transistor, MOSFET stands for Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor. Transistor can act as a switch. Gates are basic logic structures.

BJT is a type of transistor that uses both electron and hole charge carriers.
MOSFET is a type of transistor that uses an electric field to control the flow of current.
Transistor as a switch: When a small current is applied to the base of a BJT, it can control a larger current flowing between the collector and emitter.
AND gate: Outputs true only when all inputs are true (1 AND 1 = 1, 0 AND 1 = 0, etc.)
OR gate: Outputs true when at least one input is true (1 OR 0 = 1, 0 OR 0 = 0, etc.)
NOT gate: Outputs the opposite of the input (NOT 1 = 0, NOT 0 = 1)
