If you are a fresher, try to relate this point with a situation that was provided during your graduation period. Tell them that you were introduced of some new process/tool/technique by your lecturer and they have asked you to make use of this tool/technique during your project. And though it was new to you but you quickly grasped the ways to use the technique and you completed the project within the given timeline and (if appreciated for the project) let your interviewer know about it.
