A transformer is an electrical device that transfers electrical energy between two or more circuits through electromagnetic induction.

Transformers work on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
They consist of two or more coils of wire, known as windings, which are wound around a core made of magnetic material.
When an alternating current (AC) flows through the primary winding, it creates a changing magnetic field in the core.
This changing magnetic field induces a voltage in the secondary winding, allowing electrical energy to be transferred from the primary circuit to the secondary circuit.
To convert AC into pure DC, a rectifier circuit is used.
A rectifier circuit consists of diodes that allow current to flow in only one direction.
By connecting the AC input to the rectifier circuit, the alternating current is converted into a pulsating direct current (DC).
To obtain pure DC, a filter circuit is used to smooth out the pulsations and remove any remaining AC components.
Examples of rectifier circuits include half-wave rectifiers, full-wave rectifiers, and bridge rectifiers.

with the help of converter, we will convert ac into dc, if we want pure conversion then we need semi conductors for the transfer applications...
