AWS MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) adds an extra layer of security to AWS accounts by requiring users to provide two or more forms of authentication.

To enable MFA on an AWS account, you need to first assign an MFA device to the IAM user. This can be done through the AWS Management Console or AWS CLI.
Once the MFA device is assigned, the user will be prompted to enter a unique authentication code from the MFA device in addition to their regular username and password when signing in.
To disable MFA for an IAM user, you can simply remove the MFA device from the user's account settings.
MFA can be enabled for both root AWS accounts and IAM users to add an extra layer of security to the account.
Examples of MFA devices include hardware tokens, virtual MFA devices (such as Google Authenticator), and SMS-based MFA.
